Run Down, The Book Of Me! The Year Of The Cat Is Why I Write!

While I wonder about why I write, I think about the lyrics of an old song..!. A woman comes out of the sun wearing a silk dress running like a watercolour in the rain....This days she says, I feel my life just like a river running through...the year of the cat.

I remember what I thought when I first heard that song. Who wrote this? I never heard of something so emotional that wasn't comically named like the latino soap operas. That was when I learned about what a wanted to do, writing.

I write to make the connections between right and wrong, fame and hate, love and war. Marketing a business with article writing or landing-page-writing does not fall far behind human encounters with love and hate, peace and love and so on, and we all need to express those encounters.

I do not know it all, everyday is school day. I know I am here trying to overcome field traps while building an Internet Image. Writing has gone far from just a therapeutic tool. I now can see myself in my writing and be happy about it.

A company recently asked me to upload a picture of my business, it seemed funny to me because they ask me to choose a picture in which I show off the tools, supplies, business office and so on, but what I do requires the tools of the brain and heart, and the supplies are just a computer, chair, a few pens, dictionary and editing books, not many understand what is it what writers do or why they do it.

I do not have a luxurious office, in fact my office is my husband's as well, and it overlooks my chicken coop, and sometimes when customers call they can hear rooster Jerry talking in the background. The point is what writers do is not material but human. I did upload a nice picture of me, simple but nice my computer in the background and a hand written note about what I do, Web-Content-Writer.

This is what I am trying to promote, I am a writer that has many skills, I get hired for some of those skills, skills that can help or damage both my customer's and my Internet presence. I have no problem connecting with others as a human, but when I get hired to write an article I have to deliver a concept, and prove that I am good for the money I charge.

There are a few ways that help me make sure I keep my business word, I charge the same price even when jobs turn out be a bit more than what I thought it would be at first, I follow customer requirements. If I can't deliver a piece for any reason I will let my customers know in advance, when problems arise I face them, I notice when customers stop ordering from me, I reach out and try to reinforce customer loyalty.

And that is the reason I write, I hope with this three articles named the book of me, I explained myself and maybe created some image of my Internet business. Thanks for reading!

Run Down, The Book Of Me Part Two! Writing

During this trip in which memories come alive, the food from past dinners smell and taste as if they were happening now, people from other times are heard and I can see myself in that croud..I also begin to wonder about the reason I write.

The wire connectors in my brain then take me to my beginnings. Those wires first make little sparks in my brain that become sentences, and those tell me I am not perfect, I have many flaws, I have to work hard to get heard.

My thoughts take me to the times when I was in Catholic School. The nuns were just powerful women that had a task in their heads, scare little kids. They only like me if I said and draw what they wanted me to.

Though I can't blame them, they only knew what they knew, and that was be fearful of God. I never really believed that God could spark any fear towards him. I thought that in that case, we should just hire a mad old man to make them feel fearful.

I do not know much of Religion or Perfection, aside from the fact I am neither of those things. I did recognize the things I am not like at a very early age. That time in my past the nuns send me in front of the class to explain what I though I was about as human and a child of God.

I could not do it.. I saw all of them waiting for me to tell them, and I knew whom I was and am today in my mind but, could not gather the words to speak to them about me.

And so the Nun required me to write on the blackboard about whom I thought I was. And suddenly, the words came out and made sense, they children interested in learning about what I had to say, and felt like I was a super star read mesmerized.

Today I write using the meaning of what I belive in, what others think the truth is and whatever I have in my heart at the time of writing. I am still not perfect, I still make many mistakes and my customers are not yet one hundred percent certain of me, but they do love me and my writing and still give me work.

I feel I have conquered a large step towards my business success. A business that gets done by being human, and not only basing my words to predisposed terms and hyped up images, but by being who I am when I write for others.

Writing to me is a therapeutic form of expression that allows me to complete a paid job while maintaining my persona and Image alive.

Run Down! The Book Of Me! Part One

As I watch the rain fall on the ground, I can't help my mind from falling back in time. I hear some kids screaming, and laughing loudly. When I prompt my memory to focus and make a comparative recognition of faces and voices, I see a few of my cousins and other kids friends from childhood.

I remember some of my cousins, the boys, trying to get to my electric train and very fancy cars my father got me as a kid. My dad wanted to have a boy, but instead he got me, although I know he loved me, I also know he missed having somebody tough as himself as his little friend.

My dad did get his boy, but he really never made an effort to enjoy that. I consider myself spoiled, loved , and at the same time I feel I missed out on something, I can pinpoint what that is, this bothers me because I know and I have seeing others who are really in need for even 5% of what I had in the past and have today.

And just as I get nostalgic the wind comes in, it tears open my thoughts and makes my eyes open up to reality. I recognize that I am in the present, and my thoughts are of past times, so I know I am not insane yet.!

I then continue my humble and strange living customs, but the minute I sit still I go back in time. Now I am listening to what sounds like moans, I can't tell who is moaning.. after some time I recognize the voice, is my grandmother telling the grand kids about cooking "run down" while she is talking I can picture her children making the run down so they can gather what they need for cooking.

She makes a point to tell them to go by the beach, if there is some fisherman with leftover catch of the day, the kids need to bring some home to add to the run down pot. I can even smell the curry, sea salt, cilantro, and the spice mix named "boom", very much known in my country.

As I hear the rain fall noises, and remember the sounds of my favorite Latino musicians, I go back even further into my past, I remember the people I've lost, the children I've lost and the images of a future that never happened. Surprisingly there is no tears, just a whisper of regret... but no tears.

A few moments of laughter, a few moments of happiness, a few moments of companionship with your loved ones, a few moments of content with your accomplishments, that is what we are, and I come to terms with that while I taste the run down made of my memories.
